Linda’s Bloggy Day! ~How To Make Healthy Colored Marshmallows!~

Hey everyone! Linda speaking!

Do you like marshmallows? Well I sure do! What about Colored ones? Those ones are my favorite!

You may or may not have tried that kind yet, so today I will be showing you how to make them!

First we need to gather all our ingredients. For this recipe, we will need

1/2 cup cold water

3 tablespoons gelatin

2/3 cup water

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2/3-2 cups xylitol or allulose

Food coloring

Now if you are wondering what xylitol and allulose are, they are both a type of healthy sugar replacement. Now let’s go ahead and get started!

Step .1

Pour your cold water into a large bowl, and sprinkle in the gelatin. Then let it set for ten minutes.

Step 2.

Pour the rest of your water into a saucepan and pour your xylitol or allulose into the center of it without stirring. Boil it on the stove for a few minutes to let the sweetener dissolve.

Step 3.

Use your mixer to break up the gelatin in the big bowl, and quickly pour in the hot syrup that you just made. This would be the time to add in your food coloring. I’m going to make purple, using blue and red. Now increase your mixer’s speed up to high and whisk non-stop for 15 minutes. Pour the salt in at about minute eight, and the vanilla extract at minute twelve.

This part can get a little boring after a while, so try listing to some music while you mix.

Step 4.

Once you’re done mixing, pour your batter onto a tray or some sort of dish, and allow it to dry uncovered at room temperature for 6 hours.

When it’s done drying, remove it from the pan and cut it up. Turn them into s’mores, or just eat them by themselves!

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed these marshmallows as much as I did! And if you would like to make this recipe your self, click here to check it out! But don’t get confused if you don’t see food coloring on Their ingredients list, because that was just something that we added on our own!😋

Oh, and by the way. How do you like my apron? My Mom made it for Tenny, but I’m allowed to use it sometimes!

Good Bye for now!
