Every American Girl Doll Face Mold Ever!

Hey everyone!

If you haven’t noticed by now, not all AG dolls have the same face mold. In fact, there are actually 10 different AG face molds as of now! (Not counting the modified ones). Here is a list of all of them:

The Classic Mold

The Classic Mold was introduced in 1986, and was the very first AG face mold ever made. It was originally used on Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly. It is still currently in use today.

The Addy Mold

The Addy Mold was introduced in 1993, and was originally used on Addy. It is still currently in use today.

The Asian Mold

The Asian Mold was introduced in 1995, and retired in 2011. It was only ever used by JLY #4.

The Josefina Mold

The Josefine Mold was introduced in 1997, and was originally used on Josefina. It is still currently in use today.

The Kaya Mold

The Kaya Mold was introduced in 2002, and was originally used on Kaya. It is still currently in use today.

The Jess Mold

The Jess Mold was introduced in 2006, and was originally used on Jess. It is still currently in use today.

The Sonali Mold

The Sonali Mold was introduced in 2009, and was originally used on Sonali. It is still currently in use today.

The Marie-Grace Mold

The Marie-Grace Mold was introduced in 2011, and retired in 2014. It was only ever used by Marie-Grace.

Dolls that have used this mold: Marie-Grace Gardner

The Nanea Mold

The Nanea Mold was introduced in 2017, and has so far only been used on Nanea. It is still currently in use today.

Dolls that have used this mold: Nanea Mitchell

The Joss Mold

The Joss Mold was introduced in 2020, and has so far only been used on Joss. It is still currently in use today.

Dolls that have used this mold: Joss Kendrick

JLY #74’s Mold

JLY #74’s mold is a modified version of the Classic Mold. It was introduced in 2018, and is still currently in use today.

JLY #77’s Mold

JLY #77’s mold is a modified version of the Addy Mold. It was introduced in 2018 and is still currently in use today.

Ivy Ling’s Mold

Ivy Ling’s face mold was a modified version of the Jess Mold. It was introduced in 2007, and retired in 2014.

JLY #75’s Mold

JLY #75’s mold is a modified version of the Jess Mold. It was introduced in 2018, and is still currently in use today.

JLY #76

JLY #76’s mold is a modified version of the Sonali Mold. It was introduced in 2018, and is still currently in use today.
