A Very Eventful Valentine ~Part Three~

Tina examined the table of decorations and nodded.

“These look really good guys!” she said. “We’ll hang them up tomorrow night.”

“Thanks Tina! But we didn’t really need to watch that video you sent us,” said Lea.

“Yeah, I think we would’ve gotten it done a lot faster if we didn’t have to watch a three hour video!” said Linda.

Tina shrugged.

“Well, either way we got all of the decorations done in plenty on time. Now all we need to do is to send out invitations!” Tina exclaimed.

She pulled out the card that she had made earlier for Ethan and handed it to Lea.

“Tell Ethan that he has to come, or else!” she said.

“Ooooookayyyy?” Lea said as she walked out of the room.

“Do you think Ethan will say yes?” Linda asked Tina.

“Probably not without a fight,” Tina answered with a smirk.

…………………..

NO. WAY.

“Come on Ethan! She really wants you to come! And there’s ganna be lot’s of candy…….” said Lea.

“I don’t want to go! She’s only doing this whole thing to get me to like Valentine’s Day!” Ethan cried.

“I’ll pay you five bucks,” offered Lea.

Ethan sighed. He rarely ever turned down the opportunity to make a little extra money, but on the other hand…………did he really want to have to go to sassy and bossy Queen Tina’s Valentine’s Day party?

Fine,” he said. “But only because of the five dollars.”

………………….

“No, no, no. I said wanted caramel chocolate. Not dark chocolate! Dark chocolate doesn’t have any sweetness in it!” complained Tina. “Do I look like a dark chocolate person to you??!!!”

Courtney rolled her eyes. It was Saturday morning, and Tina, Linda and herself were all at the grocery store trying to get some last minute Valentines shopping done.

Trying to, because Tina wouldn’t stop arguing with the cashier about the fact that they brought her the wrong type of chocolate.

“Why doesn’t she just politely ask them to get her the caramel kind?” asked Linda.

Courtney shrugged.

“That’s Tina, always has to make a scene,” she said.

“Well, I for one sure am glad that that nice employee said that we could sit here in the office until Tina is finished with her “chocolate scene”.”

“Yeah, and she even gave us some sweet hearts to eat!”

“No, that’s not the right brand!!!” Tina yelled.

“I can’t believe we can still hear her even through the walls!” exclaimed Linda. “And I also can’t believe that you’re not even complaining!”

“I guess I’ve just gotten used to it. I mean we have been step sisters since I was five. Or was it six?” said Courtney.

“Step sisters? I thought you guys were real sisters! You look so much alike,” Linda said surprised.

“Yeah, I get that a lot. I don’t mind it though,” she said smiling.

A few minutes later, the employe came back into the office.

“Hey guys, just wanted to let you guys that your sister is done with her little “chocolate scene” and is looking for you two,” she said.

“Oh, ok! Thanks for letting us wait in here. What was your name again?” asked Courtney.

“You can call me Anna,” she said smiling.

“Well, thank you Anna!” said Courtney.

“Yeah, you might’ve saved our ears!” said Linda.

“You’re both welcome,” Anna said laughing.

………………….

“I can’t believe that they didn’t the right brand of chocolate! I always get that brand!” said Tina.

“Well, that’s probably what happens when you go Valentines shopping the day before Valentine’s Day,” said Tenny.

“Well, next year I’m going shopping two weeks in advance!” said Tina.

“Hey Tina, we went ahead and put up the decorations while you were gone,” Lea said, walking into the room.

“Ok well, I’ve got to go set up the treat bags. I would suggest that you guys start making valentines to hand out tomorrow,” Tina said.

She raced out of the room with her shopping bags.

“Wow, Lea! How on earth did you do that?!!!” asked Courtney.

“Do what?” Lea asked confused.

“Get Tina to trust you so well! Seriously. Usually if someone says to her that they put up the decorations without her, she’ll get really upset because she’ll be worried that they put them up wrong!” Courtney answered.

“Well, I don’t know why she does but I do really appreciate it,” Lea said smiling.

“Hey, do you guys want to go upstairs and make cards for tomorrow?” asked Tenny.

“Ok!” everyone said.

They all walked upstairs together.

…………………..

“Um, Linda I think you may’ve put a little too much glitter on that!” Lea said giggling.

“Are you kidding?! You can never have too much glitter!” Linda declared.

She dumped more onto the paper and stopped. She stared at the valentines closey.

“Well, ok. Maybe too much glitter is a thing,” she admitted.

“What are you all doing?” Ethan asked walking into the room.

“Making valentines. Want to join us?” asked Courtney.

“No thanks. I’ve already made all of my cards,” he answered.

Lea stared at him suspiciously.

“When exactly did you do that?” she asked.

“When you all were busy. I’ll give them to you all tomorrow,” Ethan said, walking out of the room.

“Do you think that he really did make any cards?” asked Linda.

Lea shrugged.

“I guess we’ll find out tomorrow………”
